Treating Autism with Golden Cells™: 7 Inspiring Patient Stories

Rhyler and his mom at Stem Cell Institute Panama for autism treatment

Golden Cells™ are a select group of mesenchymal stem cells that are unique to Stem Cell Institute Panama. We spent years administering thousands of treatments to identify the optimal molecular structure associated with highly successful cases at our stem cell clinic. We use Golden Cells™ to treat a broad range of medical conditions, including autism. In this blog, we look at some recent success stories of children who have been treated with stem cells for autism and the impact it’s made on their lives and on their families.

Living with Autism: Lilah’s Story

“Our expectations coming here were really hopeful. We really wanted to give our daughter the best outcome, so we were thrilled to actually receive a significant amount of gains across the board.”

Lilah was diagnosed with autism at a very young age and began intervention at 18 months. Genna knew more would need to be done due to Lilah’s behavioral issues at school, so she began bringing Lilah to Stem Cell Institute in Panama when she was five years old. Now at the age of 10, Lilah has come a long way since she first came to our clinic.

“From age two onward, there were a lot of challenging behaviors. Lillah would have a lot of tantrums, we had difficulty with school. They need a lot of support for her. She would scream a lot, she wouldn’t try certain foods. She had a difficult time expressing herself and we had a difficult time understanding her and her needs. So we were really overwhelmed. We were stressed out and didn’t know what to do.”

Genna and her husband realized that they had to take full priority for Lilah’s care if they were ever going to improve their family’s daily lives. “That’s when stem cells kind of just came out of nowhere,” she says, “and we had to seek that treatment for her. It was definitely a leap of faith, but we’re so thankful that we did it.”

“Stem cells weren’t something that we had on our radar at all. We did apply behavior analysis and other different therapies, but we wanted to give her the best opportunity to have the most success.”

Genna noticed significant gains in her daughter after her first stem cell treatment for autism. “We were actually blown away,” she says.

Around the three-week mark following treatment, Lilah:

  • Became much more verbal
  • Was more aware of her surroundings and of people
  • Wanted to try new things, such as food
  • Use every other foot up and down stairs
  • Started to enjoy coloring

“But most importantly were the tantrums,” says Genna, “and the sensory process. She was really struggling with loud sounds, but we were mostly hoping for her to have some self-regulation with her tantrums. That was primary, so she should be able to calm herself. Around four months post stem cells, all of these different gains were more than we expected.”

Managing Autism with Stem Cells: Carter’s Story

Carter was first brought to Stem Cell Institute in Panama by his mother, Amber. Describing her decision to come, Amber says, “When we came here six months ago, we were kind of hopeful but not really. It sounds bad but we weren’t expecting too much. We were hoping we would, but on the inside, we were like, ‘I doubt it.’ So we were very surprised.”

Amber and her husband were looking for anything that could help their son as he is severely autistic and nonverbal. “Everyday life for him is pretty hard,” she explains. “He can’t communicate well. He can say some single words, but not really. He can’t explain his wants, needs, feelings, or anything like that. So coming here, honestly, we were looking for anything.”

One of the first things that Amber noticed was Carter’s changing sleep habits. He had a lot of trouble going to sleep on his own, but this changed during his first week after treatment. “He was putting himself to bed,” says Amber, “which is something that has never happened.”

Stem Cell Institute was the only option when choosing stem cell therapy for autism for Carter. As Amber explains, “I think this was the only option we ever considered. I never looked into any of the other clinics because of all the research and things that I found with this clinic. It just seemed like there was no other option. We were just really impressed.”

A big part of this was reading Dr. Riordan’s book, Stem Cell Therapy: A Rising Tide. “That was very helpful for me to understand how this all came to be and how knowledgeable he was,” she says.

“I wanted to share this because I have been the parent on the other side who was scared and hopeless. All those feelings of ‘it won’t work for my son or’ or if you’re scared, just come try it. But there have been other people that have done this for me by telling me their story. My son is very, very severe. He’s the top score they give [for autism], so if it’s helping him, I feel very hopeful that it would help all kids.”

Stem Cell Therapy for Autism: Rhyler’s Story

Rhyler is a regular 11-year-old boy in many ways. He goes to public school. He loves baseball and music. However, he was diagnosed with autism at the age of three due to testing not being allowed in Texas until that age. “We didn’t know a lot about autism at that point,” says his mother, Jennifer.

“Our journey began then,” she continued. He had all his testing done and got our diagnosis, which we had no idea that’s what it would be. We knew there were delays and he never did anything on time. We knew there was something. We just didn’t quite know what.”

Rhyler’s diagnosis led to his parents doing a lot of reading and talking to other people who could empathize with their situation. They eventually met a family who had been to our clinic before. “They told us about Stem Cell Institute and we reached out,” Jennifer says, “and that’s what led us here.”

Rhyler was very nonverbal before coming to our clinic nor would he make eye contact. But he has made great strides since receiving stem cells for autism in 2018. According to Jennifer, he was trying to talk before they even reached the plane to return to their home in Houston.

“He was saying a few words before we left. It was, I think for any parent, that’s just something. If that’s all we got then we would have been happy. So when we’ve seen significant gains, it was life-changing for us. One other thing was the eye contact. By 60 days, he was making eye contact, I would say 60% better.”

Jennifer describes Rhyler as very talkative since his first treatment. He’s also reading, which his parents never expected him to be able to do. Consequently, he’s excelling at school. Upon returning to Panama, Jennifer says, “ We’re excited to see what the second treatment is going to do.”

If we get anything to give our kid a better quality of life, if it’s the littlest thing, we’re going to take it. We decided that if we get anything out of it, that means something to us. To get that much out of it was life-changing, for him and for us, because it is a whole family issue. It was life-changing for our entire family.”

Stem Cells for Autism: Jacob’s Story

“Our journey started many years ago when he was diagnosed at 2 and a half,” says Kriste about Jacob’s journey with stem cells for autism. She and her family began seeking any kind of services or way to give him a better quality of life.

Before stem cell treatment, my child was social enough that he wanted to be included but didn’t know how to communicate or to be included. It’s when they’re at that age, between three to six years of age. So we were struggling to find inclusive groups that would allow him to be in there and still have opportunities even with the limitations that he had.”

Kriste did everything for Jacob that her doctor prescribed. This includes therapies including:

This lasted for many years, but everything changed in 2019 when she visited our website and saw the treatment protocol for autism. This motivated Kriste to learn everything she could about our treatment process and what it could possibly do for Jacob. “We thought there was nothing left to lose,” she says. “Let’s give it a shot to give our child a better quality of life.”

Describing coming to our Panama stem cell clinic for the first time, Kriste says:

“It was hard to prepare him for something that I didn’t even know. So when we checked in, we met so many other families here that allowed us to realize we weren’t the only ones. We met them from all over the world!”

Jacob is a loud stimmer and Kriste was initially concerned by how worked up he became by his first treatment. However, his mind began to clear up and he began to say words after about six weeks. He is now also able to build his own daily schedule.

“Prior to stem cells,” says Kriste, “he just went ‘whatever.’ Wherever you’re going to put him you’re going to put him. Now he wants to be in control of it. So he has that awareness, that consciousness, of what his feelings are and he is able to now express it to somebody.”

Kriste wants to encourage anyone with a story that’s similar to her and Jacob’s, saying:

“To anybody that is considering stem cells, I would tell them to do it. There is fear, there are always concerns at the beginning. But when you look at the studies, you can tell that it’s making a difference in people’s lives. That’s because each time that it [treatment] has built on those blocks of the prior time and each thing has gotten better and better and better for us.”

Stem Cell Treatment for Autism: Callie’s Story

Sarah noticed changes in her daughter, Callie, right after her first birthday. The biggest change was that Callie stopped responding to her name. “At that point I started researching, just trying to see,” Sarah says. “It seemed that that’s a red flag for a child with autism. That could be an indicator but I wanted to be proactive.” Callie was taken to the hospital at two years old where she officially received her diagnosis of autism as well as global development delay

Sarah spent a lot of time in her car. She used this as an opportunity to listen to as much information about autism as she could while driving around. Eventually found and listened to Joe Rogan’s interview with Mel Gibson and Dr. Riordan where they discussed the power of stem cell therapy.

This began a process of extensive research for Sarah. She wanted the best for Callie and eventually learned that she’d find it at Stem Cell Institute. She recounts her response to surprised friends and family, saying, “It’s the best of the best. I have researched, I have seen videos, I have listened to the doctor.”

Callie showed a wave of regression before coming to our Panama stem cell clinic. At this critical point of progression for most children, Sarah says of her daughter, “Her face, her eye contact, it all just regressed. She quit looking at us. She quit the smiling, that little baby giggle—we didn’t get that.” Describing the feelings it brought on in her, Sarah says, “It was heartbreaking to just watch her blank stare and you didn’t know if she’s happy. You didn’t know how she felt.”

Sarah describes Callie’s improvements after her first round of treatment, saying, “After the first round when we were here, we were home and had the ABC alphabet magnets all around. She started picking them up, putting them in order, and verbally saying them out loud.” Callie would go further than that, singing ‘Heads, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes’ and pointing to her body parts while singing it.

Looking back on how stem cell treatment has changed Callie’s life, Sarah says:

“I would say to anybody considering it, ‘Don’t hesitate.’ It’s just a blessing. It is a true blessing to help these kids and bring them out of that little shell that they were in and let everyone else experience their world, too.”

Treating Autism with Stem Cells: Dylan’s Story

Dylan was diagnosed with autism at two and a half years old, leading to significant challenges for his family. He withdrew into his own world, ceased speaking, and exhibited self-harming behaviors. Common signs of autism were evident, including lack of eye contact, failure to respond to his name, and not pointing as a baby.

Dylan also displayed additional issues like:

  • Fussiness
  • Constant crying
  • Sleeplessness
  • Severe reflux

For Angie, Dylan’s mother, his inability to wave “bye-bye” was a clear indicator of his condition. Dylan showed a distinct aversion to social interaction, often running away from it. This situation took a toll on Angie and her husband, plunging them into a deeply challenging period. Angie recalls feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about Dylan’s future, experiencing moments of despair.

Angie describes this period of her life, saying:

“It was so hard. My husband and I were struggling so much. It was the lowest time of my life for sure and I didn’t know what kind of future Dylan would have. I would just go to the grocery store at night and cry because I didn’t understand. It was so unfair that it was my kid. Why did it have to be my son?”

Determined to find a solution, Angie delved into research and discovered stem cell therapy for autism at the Stem Cell Institute in Panama. The Institute was well-regarded within the autism community, known for its established safety and positive outcomes. Angie’s first visit to the clinic was surprisingly reassuring. She was impressed by the professionalism and compassionate care provided by the staff, particularly in their interactions with Dylan.

Since undergoing stem cell therapy, Dylan’s life has seen a remarkable transformation. Previously disruptive in a classroom, he now attends a regular school alongside his peers and even makes the honor roll.

To any parents who may be sitting deciding about stem cell therapy for their kids, she says:

“To anybody considering doing stem cells, just do it. I’m so glad we did and I wish I’d done it sooner. Dylan is so creative and so happy. He’s such a happy boy now. I’m just so thankful that it’s changed my life.”

Life After Stem Cell Therapy for Autism: Luciano’s Story

Luciano began visiting the Stem Cell Institute in 2019 after being diagnosed with autism. Prior to treatment, he’d struggled with communication and motor skills, leading to frustration, withdrawal, and isolation. Following stem cell therapy, Luciano’s progress has been remarkable. He has become more verbal, enjoys playing with friends and siblings, and feels comfortable in various situations.

According to his father, Anthony, this transformation has been life-changing for the entire family. Luciano’s instructors and counselors have noted a significant narrowing of the gap between him and his peers, contrary to the usual trend for autistic children.

“You took a little kid who was almost in the dark, and I wouldn’t say afraid but uncomfortable in almost every situation. Now you have a child that’s in the light that’s comfortable in almost every situation. That’s life-changing for him, his sisters, and his parents. I think now he’s on his way to streamlining into society and education.”

Anthony praises the Stem Cell Institute’s services, describing the experience as fantastic and fabulous. He appreciates the understanding and support provided by the staff, who empathize with both the child’s and the parent’s anxieties.

“From the second someone at the front desk greets you to the nurses, the techs, and the doctors are just phenomenal. Everybody understands the uncomfortableness so people put your mind at ease and make you feel comfortable. They understand the fear and anxiety, not just in the child, which there is a lot, but also the anxiety in the parent.”
