Producing Results from Applied Stem Cell Research
Over the course of many years treating thousands of patients, our team observed unexpectedly remarkable outcomes in certain patients following successful treatments. They noticed that, although many of our patients were healing, some patients exhibited a level of improvement beyond the norm.
This intrigued our scientific and medical staff. Recognizing the potential uniqueness of the stem cells being used, they embarked on a years-long retrospective analysis of our extensive patient data. With years of patient records at their disposal, they meticulously examined their most successful cases, searching for patterns and connections.
The investigation unveiled a striking correlation—almost all of these exceptional cases were closely associated with six specific cell lines. To validate the findings, they compared the results against moderately successful cases and inactive fibroblast cell lines. Employing high-throughput screening, they analyzed the secretome of the cells, measuring over 1,100 molecules secreted by these MSCs.
The screening process brought to light a distinctive molecular signature in these six cell lines, significantly enhanced by the unique process they underwent. Termed “Golden Cells™” by Dr. Riordan, these cells have emerged as a pivotal element in our treatments at Stem Cell Institute. “I like to say that an MSC is not an MSC. They are not all created equal. Prior to donation, rigorous measures are undertaken with donors:

Infusion

Possible administration methods include, but are not limited to:
- Intravenous (IV): Safely delivering stem cells throughout the body, this method requires no anesthesia and typically lasts 20-30 minutes. Lidocaine topical spray may be used for needle prick comfort.
- Intramuscular (IM): Direct injection into the muscle, ensuring safety without the need for anesthesia.
- Intra-articular (IA): Injection directly into affected joints by licensed physicians, commonly employed for arthritis treatment. This method is generally safe and anesthesia is typically unnecessary.
- Intrathecal: Ideal for certain neurological conditions, stem cells are injected into the spinal fluid beyond the blood-brain barrier. An anesthesiologist conducts the injection under local anesthesia in sterile conditions. Lumbar puncture typically takes around 30 minutes, ensuring a comprehensive and secure approach to stem cell implantation.
