This invention introduces novel compositions containing muramyl dipeptide derivatives and conjugates for the stimulation of human hematopoietic function. Described herein are pharmaceutical compositions containing such derivatives and conjugates combined with nucleoside derivatives which induce hematopoietic stem cell stimulation and mobilization into the circulating blood system. Further disclosed are methods for decreasing myelotoxic effects with these pharmaceutical compositions.
