This invention introduces novel isolated erythroid differentiation and denucleation factors, methods and uses thereof. Described herein are erythrocyte progenitor cells that have undergone differentiation via a process of administering to the erythrocyte progenitor cells an effective amount of an Erythroid Differentiation and Denucleation Factor (EDDF). Therapeutic applications in the treatment of malignant and non-malignant hematologic diseases are included.
