Meet Our Clinical Staff

Jorge Paz Rodríguez, M.D.
Medical Director

Dr. Jorge Paz Rodriguez received his medical degree from the School of Medicine at the University of Panama. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He performed his training in Internal Medicine at the Lincoln Hospital in New York City as part of the New York Medical College Program “A”. He worked as Medical Director of the Wellmed Clinic at Greenway Park, San Antonio, Texas, and Director of the Program for Chronic Disease Control Program (Diabetes, Congestive Heart Failure, and Ischemic Heart Disease). He is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, Texas Medical Association, Bexar County Medical Society, and Hispanic Medical Society. Presently, he is the Director of the Wellmed Clinic in Panama and Senior Doctor and President of Stem Cell Institute.

Rodolfo Fernández, M.T.
Lab Director

Rodolfo Fernández, received his degree as Bachelor of Science with emphasis in Medical Technology from Nicholls State University, Louisiana. He worked as a Medical Technologist at the Clinical Laboratory of South Louisiana Medical Center, Louisiana USA. He is cofounder and Director of Laboratorios Clínicos Fernández and Scientific Director of MediStem Panama. He is a member of the Special Chemistry Association of America – SCAA, Asociación de Laboratorios Clínicos Privados – ALCP, and American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine – AM.

Dr. Hernan H. Hernandez
Staff Physician

Dr. Hernandez received his medical degree from Latina University in the Republic of Panama in 2002. He also worked as the General Director for Health Care at La Joya Center. He has been involved with direction for community programs involving patients with Tuberculosis, HIV among other Chronic Infectious Diseases in Panama´s Eastern region. He was the medical liaison between Panama´s Ministry of Health and the European committee for the patients at La Joya Center. He also has a specialization in Health Services Management.

Dr. Randy Bowen
Staff Physician

Dr. Bowen received his medical degree from the University of Panama-School of Medicine in 2006. He then worked at a private clinic specializing in anti-aging and preventive medicine, after which he began working at the Hospital Punta Pacifica as a General Physician. Dr. Bowen is also certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) to practice medicine in the United States.
